Porcelain Veneers

As veneers are considered a permanent procedure, there must be great deal of thought in considering the treatment and the desired results. It is a permanent dental treatment because in order to apply the thin sheet of porcelain to the exterior forward facing part of the tooth, we will have to sand down approximately half of a millimeter. For this reason if your veneers are removed, your smile will not look the way it once did.

Dental veneers cost, because it is elective and cosmetic in nature, will rarely be covered by dental insurance providers and dental plans. This means that only those patients who really desire veneers will receive treatment.

We work with teeth whitening in many aspects. There are three main procedures that we help patients in order to whiten their teeth.

1. In-office professional teeth cleaning. This treatment is done by your dental professional in one or two quick and easy office visits. We have experienced tremendous results with this procedure often improving by up to eight shades of white.
2. Out of office teeth cleaning tray process. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative with the aid of your dentist, there is a part in office and part at home treatment. In the office we will mold your mouth and form dental trays that will carry teeth whitening gel. This bleaching agent will then be applied by you at your home and you will leave the trays inserted in your mouth for about one hour per day over the course of a few weeks.
3. Over the counter take-home treatment. We will not be able to assist you in your over-the-counter methods of teeth whitening. We can and will offer our advice for the best strategies and best take-home products so that you can brighten your smile in the comfort of your home. Teeth whitening at home can have detrimental effects if the harmful chemicals or to negatively affect the gums. Special at risk patients are those with diabetes and those with gingivitis.
